hello folks here on FTE
I have a 2008 f350, v10 used as a plow truck in northern Michigan.
During this last winter the heater blower and wiper motor would stop working at the same time and restart a few seconds later. Now the other day both systems stopped working, I have check everything else's functionality and they all seem to work. I have checked the fuse and voltage on the inside the cab, passenger side fuse box that is common to both these systems....5 amp fuse. well the Haynes book that I bought today says 1999-2010 but the wiring diagrams don't appear to be very descriptive and don't appear to be correct. Has anyone dealt with this failure, just from the last couple months symptoms it will be something that is common to both systems. all help will be appreciated. Thank you.
Alright .....been chasing wires blindly here with a crappy haneys book and the owners manual I, I will work the easiest circuit for now and chose the blower circuit. I worked back and pulled relay 1 under the hood.....measured voltage from f24 40 amp and had12v.....then measured pin 30 of relay 1 and that was 12 volts. So jumpered pin 30 and pin 87 and blower kicked on so resistor, blower and switches all good. Measured pin 86 of relay one and nothing which should be hot when key on. The haynes book says 10a f22 but think its f45 IAW owners manual so please this is a 2008 f350 v10 gas truck....if some one has info and pin outs of the interior cabin fuse box it would bappretiated. The fuse 45 is fine and has 12 volts across it located in pasengerr compartment. Please confirm if this f45 does power the coil of the wipers?
i have the same problem !
i tested fuse 45 and its ok but does not have power going to it.
the wipers were stuck half way up the window so connected 17 to fuse 45 to make them move back and the wipers and blower started working again !!!!
