EEC Problems
I have a 85 F150 4x4 302 auto that we purchased for my son. We bought it with a bad eec(fuel pumps continuously running). Bought a reman from autozone and installed it. Truck run good for about a week and now fuel pumps have gone back to running continuously and of course when this happens it wont run. . I have done an ohm test on the 3 ground wires and all show 0.03-0.04. Any ideas as to what could be frying to eec? We replaced in tank pump,frame rail pump and reman injectors just for good measure in hopes that its trouble free for a few yrs since this is his first vehicle. Thanks for any help or input

Do some research and see if there is supposed to be a clamping diode in the circuit from the computer to the fuel pump relay coil. I don't have any diagrams with me to find out.
I know they have one on the A/C compressor clutch coil. I don't know what they do about clamping the EEC relay and the fuel pump relay.
