Has anybody on here bought a 2015 King Ranch or seen any on dealer lots near you? I'm having a hard time finding one, especially with the color/options I'm interested in. I may have to order one but I'm just curious if they're more plentiful elsewhere in the country.
I'm also still undecided whether or not I really want to get rid of my Super Duty for an F150. I love the truck, but I really don't use it for its intended purpose enough to justify keeping it. I've never owned anything but diesel trucks, but I've heard and read a lot of good things about the Ecoboost and its diesel-like powerband.
Go Drive the EcoBoost and see if you like how it feels. If you are a diesel guy, you may love it, or you may hate it. To me, that's the first step, not worrying about dealer inventory.
I've seen a couple of KR trucks. One was a really nice looking truck with a green/brown paint combo and the other is just silver with a 6.5ft box. I don't care for the chrome bumpers and tailgate panel though, I think the KR looks better without any chrome.
When dealers order the King Ranch models, they generally add on thousands of
dollars of extras. All the one's I looked at 3 years ago had 5$-6$K in options.
I ended up ordering mine, as all I wanted over standard was the EB engine.
Didn't need a moonroof, Nav system, off road, or additional payload/towing
capability.
Just a really nice, fast cruiser that can climb the high altitude mountain
roads here without downshifting or even working hard.. And I got it!
Doing a quick search shows that their are approximately 25 King Ranch' in LA. You could ask a preferred dealer to do a search for you. Alternately you can configure a KR on Ford.com and then search inventory. There are some option that you can make requirements within the search engine. I ordered a Blue Jeans KR in December and have had it for about 2 month, My dealer after seeing mine ordered and has on his lot a Bronze Fire KR currently.
