vibration problem
i have a 1970 ford with a 302 and auto. tranny. i have a bad vibration from 600 rpm to about 1200 rpm. at idle it feels like ive got a race cam. at high speed its a repeating vibration, but hardley noticeable. ive run a compression test, 160 in each cyl. changed plugs, wires and carb. it feels to me like the flywheel or it could be the harmonic balancer. its been doing this since i bought the truck, about 3 years ago. hasnt gotten any worse or better. how can i tell if its the balancer or flywheel. i hate to throw away good money on a balancer, and im not looking forward to removing the flywheel. also. it isnt that bad when cold, but really gets bad when its warmed up after driving about 30 miles. thanks in advance.
