Turbo Question with Pics

Replaced my air filter today and checked the turbo for loose play and noticed that one of the veins was a different color....is this normal?

????

Normal or Nuts???

Every turbo I have seen has that funky fin...

The painted fin is from initial assembly. The hot side also had one painted fin for proper re-alignment on the common shaft after the balancing process is completed.

Thanks to you and Josh I feel better about my 07 turbo, I guess I can postpone my order for a new turbo now. I am always amazed at the knowledge this site brings to the rookies like me. seeing as I have both a 6.0 and a 7.3 I am learning every day. It is like drinking from a fire hose. Thanks to you and all that contribute to this site.
