7.3 93' e4od problem??
Did not see anything that describes my problem. I have a 93 f250 7.3 and before the trans fully went into limp mode, I would be able to shut it of and turn it back on and it would work great until I shut it off. Then after about 300 miles of that, it would work good for about 5 miles then fall into limp mode. I replaced my solenoid pack and it seemed to be..... Sorta halfass fine: it would start out in 1st(fine) then slam into 2( to get it to go in smoother, I would have to let off the pedal and manually put it in 2) and then it would go into(sometimes slam) 3rd and about 35 mph it would go back and fourth between of and 3rd. It would have of for 10 miles tops then fall limp. I went to have the code read and the guy who I got my rig off of ended up cutting the wires for the code reader and put a couple of his own in there. (Trans worked fine after my first 28k). Vss is new also. And today my transmission started spewing burnt fluid out of the bell housing. I never had burnt fluid on my dipstick before

he put a couple of his own wires in there in place of the code reader clip? can you describe what it looks like now? have you considered going to a junk yard and grabbing the correct clip to splice back in place?

oh i see what your thinking.easy mistake as that's where modern ports are.
ok the code scanner port isn't the plug under the dash.where you plug into,is under the hood.it's located up on the inner fender.on the drivers side.up near the hood hinge.
