My 93 E-350 7.3 idi E4OD trans chassis motorhome is flashing a code I am assuming it must be a trans code as I think it is the only electronic/computer controlled part of the drivetrain.
The code is a 25 ( flashes two then flashes five more times then repeats)
My IDI guru here at work is on vacation anybody have access to an old code book?
I just hope the guy doesn't think all is ok, because there is no ECM to flash a knock sensor code so what ever code its giving is a trans code if it is a 25 I have no idea what it means but having just replaced a E4OD in my truck I know how expensive they are and its worth investigating this wierd code. If no one els on here has any ideas and it is a 25 I would try taking it to amco or some where
exactly, i wouldnt wait, most of those places will do a free diag just to make sure. They did the replacement for my broncos E4OD way back when and did an amazing job, just had to have them tone down the shifts a bit and it was perfect. Not a glitch, bump, or anything for the last three years i had it. Wish i was smart enough to have kept it. lol get it looked at, protect the investment.

Tone the shifts down I think my ford reman shifts to soft but its better than when I first installed it. I could make it shift right but I don't want to mess with it for 3 years or 100,000 miles wich ever comes first.
