Ok,,, so I have my 66 F100, Shrek, he has a tired 240 I6, that runs great, just smokes a tad,,, I've asked him to quit, but he hasn't even tried..
I came across a 302 out of a 74 Bronco, it has the funky oil pan, 2 sumps I think, do I need a different oil pan to put on before I drop it in Shrek?
Anyone?!! I think I am going to buy one from summit or someplace, the dipstick tube is loose and leaking on this one,,,
A photo might help . . .
Ultimately, it might just come down to test fitting. As long as the pan clears the crossmember and you can access the drain plug, it's hard to see why it wouldn't work.
As Steve suggested probly best to measure for fit. My 65, with the 302, has the sump at the front which leave approx. 3" between pan and cross member and removing the pan can be difficult, imagine with a dual sump pan may require lifting the engine. Another source possibly ebay for around $50??
