steering stabilizer mount kit

Hello,

The previous owner of my truck purchased a skyjacker steering stabilizer kit and included it with the truck when I bought it. The problem is that there is no mount kit in the box. Just the stabilizer and bushings for the stabilizer.

My truck does have the steering stabilizer mount on the passenger side (looks like a backwards C)

where can I get the other parts I need?

Would the factory mounts work? Does anyone have the part # for the factory drivers side mount and the bolt for the passenger side mount?

Stock there is only a stabilizer on the passenger side. I assume he gave you the dual kit from skyjacker? If so call skyjacker and either buy the drivers side bracket or add one stabilizer to your stock passenger side mount. I have the dual kit on my 2004 F350 and it didn't change or help anything than the stock one did, I just did it for looks and I guess to help lighten my wallet LOL

the one he gave me is the single side (goes on passenger side of axle in the C mount and then theres supposed to be a mount for the drivers side (more in the middle then the drivers side)

Sorry I should have clarified that earlier.

My truck has the C mount on the passenger side, but not the mount for the stabilizer to hook to in the middle.

Here is my install from last year. If you want to see the thread click the link next to my name in the quote box. The U bolts and bracket are really the only things to purchase directly from Ford.

So installed my stabilizer Wednesday. What was a 30 minute job lasted over four hours and 3 parts store runs. I ordered all Ford hardware back in January and my stabilizer in March. All OEM pieces were in hand for a while. The stabilizer showed up a couple weeks ago in April.

First was to get a bolt and washers that match the nut supplied. M14x1.5x70mm. Return home and the bolt is to large for the hole on the axle.

Second run is to exchange the bolt and get M12x1.5 hardware as the hole is to small. The Bilstein bushing collar is less than 12mm from my handy Digital Caliper, similar to the bracket holes. Returned with Bolt, 2 washers and a locknut.

Return home and realize the nuts supplied with the U bolts appear small. Attempt to thread them together and get no where. Google the U bolt hardware part number and come up with M10x1.5.

This time to home depot as the closer store Mclendon was closed. Locate the appropriate nuts and washers return to install everything. Completed install and torqued in less than 30 minutes.

While underneath I also hit the lower ball joints, center link and drag link zerk fittings with grease.

I will say if you don't have a steering stabilizer it is a noticeable difference compared to over 10k miles by me daily driving on the wonderful Seattle roads.

On to the pictures:
What I thought was complete

To make sure I am understanding everything correctly.

I need the following parts

F81Z-3E65Z-AA. x1
N811656-5426. x2

So is the M12.1.5 bolt for the actual hole in the shock? So if I don't have one for either side I need 2 right?

The M10x1.5 number listed is that the nuts for the u bolts?

Am I forgetting anything?

Sorry for the confusion just want to make sure I only need those 2 part numbers listed above before I call ford dealer

Answers in red above.

4 nuts for U bolt, bolt and nut for passenger side bracket and parts listed above. Stabilizer should come with a nut to attach it to the black bracket.
