Handling Package questions, shock questions
Just got a new truck 95 f150 4.9 4x4. eo4d. I have the dual front shock setup. I also have factory overload helpers in the back. It looks like I have Factory skid plates on BOTH gas tanks, over the center crossmember and radiator. There is also this hunk of what looks like cast iron bolted to the cab in front of the bed almost at hip height under the back window. It has a ford logo cast in Im not sure what it is. Are the skid plates part of the package too? My older 2wd didn't have any protection over the gas tanks.
ANYone have any part numbers for the shocks with the handling package? I need to basiclly replace all of the shocks and add a stablizer bar. I live in CO and we have bumpy, steep, wash board mountain roads. What brand would be best for normal offroading? Its a stock suspension btw. Thanks for any feedback.

what size tires are you running? without massive unsprung weight, more shocks will just make it ride worse. leave it a single shock.
good shocks cost money, you can spend 50 bucks or 5000 bucks on shocks. with your setup, some good billstein shocks are tried and true, and wont break the bank.
if you currently have 2 shocks per side, take one off and see if it rides better.
as for what shocks you need, measure the old ones for reference...or just measure your overall suspension travel and order accordingly.
