Wondering IF the '92-'96 Supercab had an optional swing out quarter window like the old '75-'79 models did, I haven't seen any, wonder if the '97-'02 would fit????
Swing out windows cost more than glued in windows. This is part of the reason the "Wind Wing Windows" that were on almost every car of the 50s and 60 and part of the 70's is fairly rare today. Thankfully I do have them on 94 F250. I wonder why they are still used on trucks? I guess maybe truck drivers usually do require utility features. Or maybe the low styling of most trucks makes us stick with simple designs like squarish side glass instead of the "swoopy" side glasss on cars.
Oh well, I do think in general many things are better now than they were on old designs. But I do miss a few of the nicer things like glass that rolls all the way down, wind wings, big air vents under the dash, engines that you can actually work on, etc.
But then engines do last longer now, tuneups are usually easy and far between. Vehicles are usually safer although more expensive to fix.
