Just a quick update and consumer warning.
This is solely based on my experience.
The USA made u joint is still working great.
Have romped on it and driven it in stop and go everyday and it's doing what it should.
So, what have we learned?
Do not buy the Mexican made Moog joints at least.
For me, I'll never buy Moog again.
Four out of four joints failed.
Length measurement was to long which prolly jammed the cap into the body.
Buyer beware.
I too am now leery of Moog's quality control. A while back I couldn't get my '70 to align and deduced that the left tie rod was too long and had to cut off a piece to allow 1/8-inch toe.
I have thought for many years it isnt a quality control issue as much as it is a sense of humor issue. I can see many chinese, indian, mexican workers laughing their collective asses off about Americans buying their defective parts and trying to figure out what is wrong with them.
