myford Touch without nav

Just bought the 2015 F250 the touch unit, but apparently the one I bought didn't come with Navigation. If I purchase the mapping card will it work or is it not even the right computer for it? Always used GM and love my new ford, but when a GM comes with a screen you have mapping end of story. And my salesman was nice but he is about as clueless about what is going on with nav system as I am.

Well if not is it even worth worrying about? I am finding nothing but bad reviews about the mapping.

My wife got the my ford touch without nav on her fusion now she has a new edge with it ..either way she uses her phone for navigation anyway lol . It can't be worse than the 11-14 models having navigation system maps that haven't been updated since 2010 they just recently came out with map updates

After having spent thousands on factory Nav systems only to be held up with a digital GUN to pay them more money annually for Map updates and bug fixes - I threw in the towel.
We use our iPhones and iPads now for Nav. Free updates, consistent interface regardless of which vehicle we take, bigger screen (iPad)...
All this is available for Androids as well, so something to think about....

The Ford nav system drives me crazy. I far prefer my smart phone and use the Waze app.

yeh. Isn't it nice to type like into goggle, find a store/restaurant/address and say 'go there'.
instead of pick a state, pick a city, pick a street, pick and address.. yeesh

Yeap, WAZE has never been wrong yet, can't say that about the Ford system. Plus WAZE offers a wealth of information with a lot of user input sharing.

Only bad thing about Waze is what's buried in the User License Agreement.. I don't know if it has been changed, but you used to be agreeing that they would have access to all data on the device. IE all your contacts etc. that sorta stuff scares the cr@p outa me...

I can agree with you on releasing access to your information, however the only way around someone getting into your private information now days is to not use anything electronic.

If you do a search on the internet you'll see where it is possible to add it.

No, I'm sorry to say it takes more than just a chip to do it.
