Adding a Switch to Dash of E450

I have an 2015 450 chassis Class C motorhome. The backup camera is integrated into the Pioneer stereo in the dash. The stereo is wired into the headlight switch to automatically dim the display when the lights are turned on. Since I always drive with my headlights turned on, this makes it nearly impossible to see the screen during the daytime.

I learned from Pioneer what to do to disable this feature, but need to install a switch in the circuit to do this. I'm hoping to install a simple on/off toggle switch into the dashboard's existing space. In the picture below, I'm wanting to put the switch into the "round" hole marked Audio Jack.

My question is how do I get the "round plug" out of this hole? And does anyone know the diameter of the existing hole?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

1.If equipped with tilt column, position the steering wheel in the full DOWN position.
2.Remove the 2 Data Link Connector (DLC) screws and position aside.

3.Remove the steering column opening cover.
•Pull the steering column opening cover down, releasing the 6 retaining clips.

4.Remove the 2 upper steering column support bracket nuts and the steering column support bracket.
•To install, tighten to 15 Nm (133 lb-in).

5.Lower the steering column and loosen the 2 lower steering column support bracket nuts.
•Tighten to 15 Nm (133 lb-in).

6.Remove the function selector switch ****, and the function selector switch.
1.Remove the screw.
2.Remove the function selector switch.

7.NOTICE: To avoid damage to the instrument cluster finish panel, pull the panel forward just enough to access electrical connectors before completely removing the panel.

Pull outward to remove the instrument cluster finish panel.

•Disconnect the electrical connectors.

Thank you, Dave! However, are these instructions for the instrument cluster? Or the AC/Radio panel? Not sure how the steering column comes into play when trying to get that panel off????

I am not sure if I have the correct instructions, I could not find 2015 info. They don't usually change the vans very much through the years though. The illustrations that did not show up in my post show the whole grey part coming off, not just the darker part of the dash. From the pictures, the larger grey part goes over to the steering column.
