I've done a search and can't find any answers for my question. Can I use regular rad hose for the two bottom hoses or does it have to be the reinforced kind? If not why does it have to be reinforced? Will the hose collapse? I have this hose that I was going to cut to fit. Thanks ,Doug.
Most of the old trucks have hoses on the bottom that are solid. They have the reinforcement built into the hose walls. So is it ok to use a regular rad hose that you can squeeze with your hand or does it need that stiff wall type hose?, Doug.
It doesn't sound like your proposed hose is strong enough. The V8 hoses are really short, I can't imagine them collapsing but yes, all the ones I've seen were pretty stiff. Makes them a real treat to install. Check NAPA's hose.
