GlowShift boost guage
Im installed the glowshift 35psi boost guage on my 04 f250. The wiring diagram showed 4 wires. Yellow is constant hot, red is a switch hot, black is ground and orange is dim switch. I wired just how the diagram showed using 2 fuse links to obtain a constant and switch hot. One i finished the guage will not light up when the truck is turned on. Once i flip the lights on the guage will illuminate. My problem is why will the guage not light when the truck is on until the lights turn on.?

Orange goes to headlight switch, which dims gauge when headlights are On.
When headlights are Off (and Key On), gauge should be brightly illuminated.
I just checked my notes from my recent gauge install:
Red > constant Hot
White > switched Hot (Key On)
Orange or Yellow > H'light sw
Black > Ground

Hey jon. Yea i checked my wiring and double checked it again. I have my yello which is constant when the truck is off. Then my red is switched which has no power unless i turn the key on. I varified the volt meter before i hooked up fuse link. I got my ground snug and the dim switch is junctioned with the light switch to dim the lighting at night. if this is all correct then im starting to assume its a bad guage?
