I have a 1993 f250 the truck cranks right over but won't start or it will buck and fire for a few seconds then die again the cap and roter are clean the ignition control has been replaced and the coil has been replaced and the fuel pump kicks right on like it should with the normal loud wine noise it should make any ideas on what could be wrong?

 

Check for codes.

Next step, check fuel psi. Just because it is turning on, doesn't mean that you have enough psi for it to start.

Try cycling the key on 3 or 4 times, then try to start it. If it does, then the pump is weak or filter is clogged.

 

There are no codes and the filter is also new yesterday it would start and run for about a min and then just shut off again and it just kept getting worse from there I'll try cycling the key tho and see what happens thanks

 

Did the truck just start doing this? Has it been a while since it ran? Could be something like bad gas. Also you could check your plugs for fouling.

 

No the truck has not been sitting the gas is fresh and plugs are fairly new

 

Check vacuum? IAC?

 

Vaccum is good so is the IAC I need to see what I'm getting for fuel pressure cuz it starts if you put gas/starting fluid down the intake so I think its a bad fuel pump not sure yet tho
