The Ford Barn is a site for buying/selling and is associated with the HAMB. If you want to post about projects or other things that aren't classified ads then go to the HAMB.
Not at all! They do have a Swap Meet section for buying/selling, but they have 4 or 5 forums that are just like this one. They don't tolerate anything much beyond alternators and T5s as far as modifications, certainly no SBCs but Zoot's car is exactly what they like.
I stand corrected...my "favorites" link in my browser takes me directly to the "Swap Meet" section, I never have a reason to look elsewhere on the forum. Ryan Cochran (HAMB, Garage Journal, etc) took over the Ford Barn when the previous "owner" was dropping out of the business. I guess that there's a "home" for everybody...

I looked at those threads, Ross, and it seems they want to stay stock which is fine, it's just not what I'm doing. I politely asked on the Model A forum if this was a restoration site and I was told it was. One guy even posted " I hope you're not going to rod it". They are very helpful, I'm just not telling them my plan for the build. HAMB is very helpful and I there are many like mined guys doing similar builds. Hope no one is urging me not to post on FTE, I just thought you guys would like it.
What's not stock on that Model A? They don't care if you put on juice brakes, alternator, etc. Are you going to drop in an SBC or something? BTW there are plenty of "rods" on the 32-53 section; blowers, drop axles, disc brakes, A/T's. It just needs to stay flathead powered.

Bingo! Yes, small block, at, IFS, triangulated four link rear with 9". I'm toying with idea of a manual tranny. As I said I want it to look as stock as possible, as I love the look of them and I restored one in high school to stock with my Dad. Sort of my first build and my last, same car. Full circle and all that. I wanted to rod it in high school, but my Dad wouldn't hear of it. Now I get my chance to make it my own.
Great looking car. Yeah this is not a truck, but now that you have started with us, you have to bring us with you to the finish. I'm looking forward to watching this build.

Happy to if it's OK with you guys and the moderators.
