I have been looking on the interweb and the internationals look like the same cab in some photos and not in others? I will post the one s I have found.
Did ford ofer a sleeper option in the f7 and f8 ?
The sleeper is quite crude compared to what is being used today. Back then an over night trip is probably a little over 200 miles, now that's done in half a day with the improved roads and trucks.
The owner of this truck told me there were only six of these trucks made. He found his axle deep in mud behind an abandoned warehouse. The body manufacture would split the cab roof just above the doors and install a pie shaped piece of metal, same with the floor. The rear of the car was from a Mack truck and the quarter glass are from a '46-47 Ford car. The body modification are rather crude and the doors do not seal completely because they are literally slightly opened from the stock closed position.
I haven't talked to the owner of the truck in quite a few years. He was a long haul truck driver and would stop at my shop on lay overs but he might have gotten a different job or route. I tried to contact him a few times but the contact information I had for him didn't work. I haven't seen the trucks at any show for the last couple of years. He used to show up at the Dash to the Dells show.
I'll see if I can dig up his information, he had a French sounding name and I'm sure how it was spelled.
Chris, I didn't realize until I looked at the picture you posted that the truck was a model. I did a Google search and found some additional pictures of it, very nice job on it.
Was it for sale??! I am going out to Tucson in a couple of weeks , my daughter is having a baby and I plan on looking around for cool old trucks.
"Laurie, you just wait here. I'll be right back, I just want to look at an old truck out in the middle of nowhere. I shouldn't be gone more that 6-8hours" Yeah, that'll work.

It didn't have any type of sign on it. It was sitting out in a field just northeast of Artesia, NM off of State Highway 2. It's been several years since I was out in that area of the state but I'll bet it still there. I just looked for it on Google Earth and I think I found it.
Do you ever use Google Earth? if so, here are the coordinates to the truck;
Lattitude- 32°53'17.68"N
Longitude- 104°24'4.95"W
I would guess its an old oilfield gin pole truck. Artesia, NM is in the heart of oil country.
