Is it possible to turn up the sound from the rear sensor? On my old truck the radio would be muted and the back up sound would be loud. I am partially deaf in my right ear and could use the extra loudness. I cannot find any setting on the dash of the info panel or in the manual. Would this be something the dealer can turn up and set the radio to mute when I back up?
On my 2012, page 24 of the manual discusses how to turn the
Rear Park Aid on or off. It's done from the Instrument Cluster, and
that's the subject heading in the manual.
On my truck, and probably everyone else's, with it ON and backing
into something, it turns the radio down and gives the warning sound.
Pretty hard to miss.

That is how it worked on my 2013 but on the new 2015 's the option is there to turn the rear park aid on or off. The sound comes from the rear speakers and the radio does not turn down. I went to the dealer and they do not have access to the module on the truck. They checked a couple of other 2015's and they do the exact same thing. It would be excellent if the 2015 rear sensing system behaved the way previous year systems did. Not everyone has perfect hearing and I would hope that ford releases a update to the system, through the dealer, to address this.
Bill hasn't chimed in on anything, and since he joined on April Fools I'm considering it a joke. Haven't seen anything from customer service people, but will watch.
That's cool. Thanks. By checking posts by Ford Service I see that there have been many, including two already today. So, how do we go about getting them on this thread? PM them? Who should do it, the OP?
Would you, please, chime in on this thread It appears that the warning tone on the 2015 F150 is only given in the rear speakers and the radio isn't turned down. However, previous year vehicles have the sound in all speakers and the radio is muted, or at least turned down, during the sound.

Do we have a way to lobby Ford, and some place to collect our wants/needs? This loos to be so easy of a fix.
Hey folks,
I can document your feedback about the rear park aid; all I need from you is a PM with your full name, best daytime phone number, and any details you'd like me to include. I'll take it from there.
If you're in Canada, send them same information to the Canadian reps on the forum. Here's a link to their profile: FordServiceCA

If it doesn't lower the volume when in reverse somebody screwed up.
