I put one on our last Bronco. It helped quite a bit as for some reason our '94 was twitchy even after going through the entire front end. I suspect it needed a new steering box as none of our other TTB front ends felt like that. But the stabilizer did help, especially with bump steer.
Thanks, I had already ordered a kit from Rough Country, but haven't installed it yet. The steering doesn't bother me, but the wife (pregnant right now) has to drive it to her office once in awhile, which is an hour drive through Dallas Fort Worth traffic. I tightened the steering box and it did wonders, but she wanted me to add the stabilizer to try and get it as tight as can be. I'll install it after the Easter weekend and let y'all know how it feels. Thanks again.
That's what I'm referring to. We have a ton of construction going on around us. So there are a lot of pavement transitions that cause the wheel to jump left and right.
Wheels and tires are in my trucks's future, but im still figuring out what route i want to go with them. I'm leaning toward 15" Pro Comp steel wheels.
I installed a Tuff Country Steering Stabilizer on mine to help with the bump steer and road groove following. It helped a lot. I would suggest it to anyone running 11.5" or wider tires.
Thanks Bruners, I'm only running 31x10.5 tires right now, but intend on going up to 33 or 35x12.5 with my new wheels. I'll definitely need a stabilizer it seems.
Got the kit installed yesterday. The install was a piece of cake, under 30 minutes. No apparent difference except when hitting bad bumps in the road (which is the way it's suppose to be). My vote is that it was well worth the $105.
Rough Country dual steering stabilizer kit installed on 4-7-15.
