I am currently on the stock 15 inch wheels, they are rusty and ugly, they're the non chrome ones so I just want better ones. Mainly because I can't find any 235-275/75/15 tires, I kinda want like bigger mud tires, I have a 1993 f150 4.9l 300 2x4, how do I go about upgrading the wheels and tires. I have no idea how to get started on finding wheels that fit, then finding tires that fit on the wheels I buy. I don't mind buying used wheels or tires.

Being 2wd it limits to I think a 31x10.50x15 being the largest you can go
(why can't you find 235/75/15, they are a VERY common size)
X2 on 235-75x15s being very common. Billions of Explorers ride on those.
As far as 31-10.50x15s, find out what your axle ratio is. I had an '85 E150 with the 300 and 4 speed OD trans. It had 3.50 gears and was a real pooch on the 31s. Taller and heavier tires soak up power and gas.
A good tire shop can sell you a package . Wheels ,tires , lug nuts , etc. They can advise you as to tire size and rim width requirements .
Or you can go to a salvage yard .
As said before ... Why can you not find 235/75/15 tires ? I recently bought a set . Easy to get in my area .

I kinda want a larger mud tire tread look and every shop I look for never has any.
If you end up deciding to go with tires in a stock size and style, check out the Eldorado Sport Fury LT235/75R15. This is what I just bought and I'm happy with them so far. They are a no-frills 6 ply LT tire with plenty of tread. I had a difficult time finding tires in this size too, so I understand.
Of course, if you just want to go with a passenger tire, there are plenty more options available. It seems that most manufacturers start at 16" for LT.
Also I agree with shopping around online but buying local. The service and individual attention from independent shops can't be beat.
I've had great luck with Tire Rack over the years. Just priced out a set of American Racing wheels and Yokohama Geolander tires (720AB rating!!!) mounted, balanced and shipped for $732 after rebate. I was checking BJ's wholesale and it looked like the best I could get there was about $130 per tire (x4 = $520 + tax) and that's with keeping my old wheels.
I've used Tire Rack for years, but lately I have been able to get better deals locally when Tire Rack's shipping is factored in. I have purchased two sets of tires in the last 7 months and both times the shipping was more than $30/tire from Tire Rack. The tires were between $10-$20 more per tire locally, but no shipping charges. But I always go to their website first when shopping, they have all the information you could want about tires in one place.
