My truck came with the 17" wheels and it's time to get new tires. But I'm having trouble finding acceptable tires. The best I've found so far are Maxxis Buckshot Mudders in 275 70 R17, but that's about it. I'd like to go a little bigger than that maybe 285's. Any suggestions?
O one more thing can I fit 33' tires as long as there 17's...and can i get Maxxis tires online somewhere?
Yeah but they still dont have any 285x70x17's I cannot find this size tire anywhere...i know bfg makes all-terrains like this but i cant find'em (one of my friends has'em)
the biggest i can find are 265x70x17 and some 305 but those're to big...
You can get all of the BFG's at Costco for cheap. Were are you located? there shoukd be one near you, there everywhere here in the bay area. They are also $60 off a set right now till feb 1st. Any tire shop should be able to order them.
I would go with the BFG over the maxxis, unless you like to change tires often.
BFG has come out with all kinds of new tire sizes for the 17" wheels lately - just watch for the load rating - it looks like some sizes aren't LT rated....
