Flareside Cap Mounting

I've finally found a cap that will fit my 1995 Flareside! I think it's for a Chevrolet, but the length is right, and the width is close, too. It's an older-style Leer that has the flat bracket on the sides (runners, if you will).

Does anybody have tips for mounting a cap to a Flareside? I'm assuming that the best way is L-Brackets that bolt into where the cargo tie-downs are located.

If anybody has ideas, though, they would be a huge help!

Thanks!

Nobody owns a Flareside with a cap?

No wonder it took this long!

Any ideas other than L-Brackets?

I had one about 10 years ago. Cap was held on by brackets that mounted to the inside of the bed. The brackets looked similar to half of a door hinge. The "hinge pins" were long bolts that threaded into L brackets that held the cap down

Mine is screwed down thru the top of the bed rails. It was already like that when my Dad bought the truck.

I don't have a cap,but my flareside had a fiberglass bed cover(still has,but I never use it) when I bought it,and it uses this same kind of bracket.
