This is good advice. I've been going through mine trying to make sure it's ready for more performance. If your infrastructure can't support your tune or other mods, then you'll never realize the full benefits of what you already have. I have found all kinds of little things wrong that contribute to less than stellar performance. For instance, the latest issue I found was a boost leak at the plenum. A tune will do me no good if I can't hold boost. While fixing all these little contributing things doesn't always bring the glory a new chip or gears do, they are totally worth it.
