Well last night was taking a back road and got the truck slightly stuck. Finally got it out by mashing it . Got turned around had a little mud fun. And mashed again halfway through my spin truck died. Got out lift the lever on the radiator cap to release pressure and cool off. Always starts easier. Waited few minutes started right up. Any ideas?

Or purchase a Code reader such as the Equys/Innova 3145.
Run the Key On Engine Off (KOEO) tests and stored (Continuous Memory CM) code display. List the codes by number and when they were displayed. Stating you received "No Codes" means you did not run the tests correctly. At the very least you should receive Code 11 "System Pass" if there are no issues found.
But would releasing the pressure take out the hot air pressure and cool. And some of the coolant went into the resivior so it was exposed to cool air more.
You will find that out more than likely when you get the scanner if you do not unhook the battery before you look at the codes.
Those scanners cost a lot more than a code reader. The Code reader such as the Equus/Innova 3145 that ral2005 suggested above for only about $30.00 would have worked just fine.
