I am sure it has been done time and time again with the previous generation but the 15+ has anybody put an after market lcd display in. I know the my ford touch is suppose to be lousy and I am interested in one that will control Subwoofers. I was planning on waiting for a 16 but but mostly for the new version of the my ford touch but I have always had after market car audio.
Also do after market remote starters void warranty. I am going to be putting my truck up for sale soon and and i might take my remote starter out. it has a 2 way remote and reaches 3,000 feet it is only about two years old. I am trying decide if it is worth it to have it removed.
I can't answer about the LCD screen, but I do have an opinion on the remote starter.
I would never bother to take a starter out of a vehicle unless I knew it was destined for the scrapyard. It seems to really help with ease of resale. Plus, you don't have to go through the effort of removing it. I know with my luck, while I was removing the starter wiring, I would manage to knick or crimp or break something else, and then I'd have to spend time and money fixing that. In my mind, the less times I need someone to tear into the wiring, the better.
You don't have your location listed, but at least where I live, just about everyone pays the worth of the installed remote system, especially if it's a good one. Many will not pay its worth though if it's a bad one they think needs to be replaced. You would most likely do well to leave it if it's a good 2 way.
I paid to have it installed. I am in Cincinnati, I wouldn’t remove it myself I would take it back to the installer and have it removed. Then have it installed again in the new vehicle, depending on the cost of removing it from the old vehicle. Otherwise I would just replace the starter with a new one.
