5 volt pulsing DC, ICVR ???

I just purchased my 67 ford and have a couple of wiring issues related to the fuel and temp guages.

Is the dash ICVR the "silver can" with 2 wires?? One has 12 volts and the other (light blue) has 5 volts? The 5 volt side does not appear to pulse.

I have a 67 wiring diagram but very little seem to be matching up with what the diagram shows. Any input on this would be appreciated.

It might be the meter you are using. As long as you have 5 volts you are ok. The purpose is to keep a constant voltage on the guages so the readings don't vary when the battery voltage does.

OK, I did locate the 5v pulsing circuits. What I found was the previous owner had the gas tank sending unit and the temp sending unit running to 12v. I ohmed out the tank sending unit and found that the wire windings inside were burnt up. I found a
71 model sending unit but the bolt pattern is a little different than on the 67. I was able to check with it though and it workes fine. Just need a unit to fit it at this point. On a good sending unit I was reading around 80 ohms.

The Temp sending unit is ohming completely closed, would this be right?? I checked from the Temp lead to gnd.. Sounds like it could be fried also.

Sounds like it is bad, I don't have the specs in front of me.
