Keith, I'll say a prayer for your dad. Your dad is about the same age as my dad and my dad also drives a Corvette (a highly impractical vehicle for a man of his age with MS that lives on a dirt mountain road 5 miles off the main road, sheesh).

Two Corvettes for my step dad as well until he passed. 64 and an 05. His life long dream to have both a modern and an antique version. Loved hitting the "double nickel" on the way home from the early bird special... God bless him...

The smoke from the out of state forest fires rolled in at my house this afternoon. I had to go indoors. Fortunately, I was done with outdoor chores.

If anyone is in the market for my Mor-Ryde Xfactor cross members, they are one of the few things in my RV parts super sale that are still available. I have three for the Correct Track locations and one standard unit for regular flat spring hangers. Looking for $75 each plus shipping. If you take more than one, the shipping should go down some as I can fit two in one box.

I just spent 10 minutes on hold, waiting to talk to the parts department at my local Ford dealer to get a price on some maintenance items (filters, PM-22a, etc). I gave up without talking to anyone. I'll just order those items from Amazon. I was hoping the dealer would be close to Amazon's prices but if they can't get to me in 10 minutes then I'm not going to bother.

Hey Jim, how far away is your dealer? Reason I ask is, the phone is almost always the last thing dealer parts counter guys pay attention to and during lunchtime especially. I'm not saying it's ok but it can be crazy sometimes. I know all the folks at my dealer and when I go there I park in back and come in the break room or shop, talk to a few guys, grab a wrench for someone, etc....my point is, being there in person makes a big difference.

But yeah, amazon works too and it's what I do. I ordered a case of oil filters when my truck was new and I'm on my last one (180,000 on the truck) and I will do it again.

I just ask my son to bring home what I need. He's pretty good at answering my text messages to order parts too. He gets cost+10% for anything I need and they have a Keystone account for anything aftermarket.

What I need is for him to find me an LS376 gathering dust and heavily discounted but that hasn't happened yet.
