That would be very old school Roy. Us modern folks would get the campfire app on our phones...

 

I was going to get a projector unit. Big Screen Campfire!

 

Some of the campgrounds we've been to have eliminated any wood burning at all at the sites and will only allow contained propane burners.
Our RV Park is another such place. They have not yet said you couldn't barbecue with charcoal, but I suspect that is next..

 

The thing with a campfire is that there is often some knucklehead that tosses something plastic in the fire. Yuck.

 

What get's me more than that Jim is when every site in the campground has one going. The air is so thick it's like you're at a house fire scene. We have had to close up the camper and fire up the AC at some spots when it's really hanging. I haven't really had a chance to miss the real wood fire since going LP as I always get the smell from about 5 other nearby sites as I sit near my Outland Fire Bowl...LOL
