ok guys, im looking for some input. i have a 2000 ford f350 SRW v10 w/ zf5 tranny 4.30 gear ratio 198,000. im currently in the process of doing a engine swap for a brand new v10 with a paxton novi 2000 supercharger, ecu tune, then adding banks headers, banks y-pipe, and catback exhaust system. (shoulb be pushing 496hp and 572lb/ft torque after complete). the supercharger kit comes with an upgraded fuel system. now my question is, since my fuel system is upgraded then would i have to also have to upgrade the fuel injectors. if so, then what size would be recommended?
You will need to upgrade injectors. A buddy of mine and I installed a Procharger on his old 5.4 F250 and we upgraded to 42 lb injectors. I will be running 60 lb injectors on my turbocharged 302 in my Mustang. You need more fuel with more air.
There is no reason to have a high flow pump and wiring harness. All thats needed is a new tune for the motor, and new injectors that flow more fuel. The stock pump, rails, and lines are more than enough to flow for that compressor your running
just spoke with a service tech at paxton, he told me that i would not have to upgrade my fuel injectors. if i did they wouldve supplied the injectors with the kit. thanks for your help guys...
SuperDutyScaler i completely agree with ya, but all those items come in the kit regardless
