(Seriously, though, if you read through that or any of the numerous other conversion threads, the same things would be involved, just in the opposite direction, if you really wanted to do it to factory 2wd spec. If you just don't want the front wheels to do anything, pull the front driveshaft - easy!)
Sell your 4WD and buy a 2WD... you'll have extra dollars in your pocket.
1. Can you weld? Do you have at least a 220V welder?
2. Have you thought about what style front suspension to go with? Mustang II? Crown Vic? Jaguar?
3. What about steering?
4. Spring pockets?
5. Crossmember?
6. Have you ever fabricated new brake lines?
Do the math and converting to 2WD is a waste of time and effort.... and money.
