Door ajar, dome light working normal
I'm going through a 2003 SD Supercab, trying to fix the things it needs. I have 3 questions...
One problem I have is the 'door ajar' light. I tried the WD40 trick and it didn't work. Next will be replacing the door switch... But how do I know which door switch needs replacing? Another thread suggested the audible alarm (chimer, ding-er?) will sound, but mine doesn't. (It dings for about 5 seconds when I first turn on the truck, but won't ding with any of the doors open.)
Also, others say their dome light stays on when the door ajar light is on. My dome light doesn't stay on. It didn't work at all when I first got the truck, but recently started working when I open the doors and when I turn the dial on the dash. Should my dome light stay on since my door ajar light is on?
Third question.... my dome light and lights in the bottom of the door panels stay on for about 20 seconds after I shut the door, EVERY time I shut the door. I know this is part of the "delay relay", but every single time, even with the engine running???
