I have a 1993 250. I recently put a new power steering box in and now my steering wheel is a little off to the right. Any suggestions how to straighten it out. I had the alignment done which made it a little better
Mines off a little to the right as well and had a recent alignment after f250 front springs were installed. It drives straight and there are lots of other things I could spend money fixing or upgrading before I cared about the crooked steering wheel. If it's aligned I wouldn't worry about it but sorry I can't help w how to get it straight
Any decent alignment shop should center the wheel as part of the alignment. I'd get them to finish the job...
^^ ditto ^^
If you want to do it yourself, you could break the tie rod ends free and adjust both in the same direction to correct the steering offset by counting the turns. But you risk screwing up your new front end alignment. You might also pull the steering wheel and move it one notch on the shaft. But Phy had the right answer above.
Take it back to the alignment shop and tell them you want it fixed. They will either be happy to do it or give you some load of bull as to why they can't.
