Curious which compressor you got. Plumbing it directly to the bags, or going to have an air tank ?

I have the airlift basic compressor. I went back and forth and then decided to just send it back. I don't want to give up the jack cubbyhole and I didn't want it in the weather. With it being a Cali truck I almost had enough room under The hood but the extra charcoal canister is just enough in the way to be annoying.

I am just going to need to pump them up like the fronts which is going to need to be fine.

Mounted mine under the drivers seat between the frame rail and the steps. I decided to mount them vertically for better longevity. Also used a piano hinge so I can loosen a couple bolts on the frame and the entire thing pivots down for any maintenance.

Just food for thought.. We do not recommend putting the compressor under the hood. The compressor will constantly be pulling in hot engine air which will shorten the life of the compressor.

Not waterproof and can't take the under hood heat, hmmmmm. I like airlift stuff certainly but I'd really like to see a waterproof version.

I don't know about waterproof, but mines been mounted under the AC unit behind the mud flap for a dozen years, or more, with no issues.

As would I, but we do not make the compressors at all. Mine has been mounted on the inside of my frame rail for 7 years through Michigan winters without any issue. Just because the compressor is not waterproof does not mean it cannot get wet. You just do not want to completely submerge the compressor, that will ruin things.
