Transfer case for a T-19

Hey Guys , I'm looking into installing a transfer case on a T-19 Tranny behind a 6.9 L . It's a 2WD but I need the low range . Any thoughts on the best transfer case that bolts up . Tks

I'm planning the same basic deal in a 2wd E350 van that I'm swapping in a NP435 4spd.

I don't know what age truck you are dealing with. If the 6.9L is stock I am guessing mid to late 80's. For all out toughness I would go with the one I'm going to use, the NP205. It's a cast iron all gear driven unit. It's nearly bullet proof. The down side is the low range isn't super low.

I believe the transfer case that came in the 6.9L 4x4 trucks would be the aluminum case, chain driven BW-1345. Not as strong as the NP205 but it has a lower low range.

No problem.

The NP205 will require some kind of side support/mount due to it's weight. On my van I'm going to fabricate a custom transmission cross member and tie it into the cross member.

You don't really have to worry about that with the aluminum cases. But I think the 205's strength and durability makes up for any extra fab work.
