which transfer case??

Out of all the ( STOCK) transfer cases availible for the big broncos which one is the best? mine has the manual BW1356 other than going after market is one better than the other? Thanks DW

The NP205 is arguably the strongest case out there....it is, although, lacking in the low range department.

You have a better low range in the 1356, than in the 205, but chain driven in the 1356 which is a bit of a downer.

my transfer case is stamped with C11415. what does that mean, how do i know what i got? its on a 78 bronco

My 94 has a aluminum cased Borg Warner chain drive P.O.S in it. I would put the gear driven, cast iron cased NP out of my 78 in my 94 in a heart beat!!!

No, its not chain driven....one of the reasons why its strong. And no, there are no gear upgrades for it yet.

I know that some the BW 1356 came in a magnesium housing at some point as well. Very strong and light(for its size), but still chain driven.
