Zf5 id

I found a zf5 on Craig's list but it's almost 3 hours away. I'm wanting a zf5 47 for my 95 f450. The guy sent me some pics of the trans and the numbers on it are f6ta-7003-na. And 131705003. A quick google search said its a zf5 47 but I wanna make sure. He said it came out of a 94.5 truck but he also has a engine for sale that said was from a 97 so I just wanna make sure before I drive that far

Doesn't sound like it will work on your F-superduty

Damn it. Is it because of the brake bolted to the back of it

I'm thinking about swapping the zf out of my 97 to the f super duty but I wanted to make sure both trans are what I think they are.
The f super the only number I can find on it are 1307 401 177
The 97 f250 has 1307 401 031

A 95 is a s42 with the higher 1st and reverse

A 97 is a s47 with the lower 1st and reverse.

Other than that completely interchangeable as long as they are both the diesel and 4wd housing(4wd and F-superduty)

Thanks 91 dually!!! The tags on the side of my trans are missing and the casting # I got off the passenger side of them doesn't match anything on that list. My luck
