2005 Wheel Fitment Question

Hi Guys I have been a member here for a while just never really posted. I apologize if this is a repeat (I tried to locate it before posting).

I have an 05 EX with V-10 198,000 on the clock. Just replaced the front end and tightened everything back up. The suspension is all stock, with no lift.

My question is: Will stock F-250 18" rims & tires fit w/o issues? If not what changes would I have to make, w/o breaking the bank?

I do some towing with my racecar but that is it. Mostly driven on the road. Only off road driving is when I go hunting.

Any help or advice would be appreciated.

Stock height EX will be fine with 285/75R16Es, they are about a 33" tire and fill the wheel wells up a little better.

Can I fit a 17, 18 or even a 20" rim under the stock height?

You can run 30's if you want BUT with every inch of wheel you add you will lose in rubber (cushion)

I am not looking for huge tires or anything. I have a buddy that has 18" F-250 rims, trying to see if those will fit?

If not, what do I need to do without spending a lot?

No, unless you use spacers.

I'm easily confused and with the previous posts getting edited and quoted and such I am now a little dizzy.

No F-250 20" rims will fit correctly without $pacer$, and they are very pricey for the good ones, so there goes a cheap option.....
MOST F-250 18" rims will fall into the same group as those 20"s EXCEPT if those 18" rims came off of an '04 F-250/350 (H-D, KR or Lariat). Basically if the F-250 has front leaf springs and had those 18" on from the factory then you are good to go, otherwise see above about the Spacers.
And yes, any size rims (with the proper geometry) will work as long as you limit the tire to about 33".

Sorry for all the edits. He told me 20's but they are actually 18's. They are off of a 2014 F-250.

Do you know what type of spacers are good or would it be worth it?

As far as spacers go you should only ever use HUBCENTRIC ones, the SD late model rims require a 2" spacer on our EXs. You choice on steel or aluminum, there have been some great debates on that choice in the past.
Historically the spacers from Fred at WheelAdapter.com is your number one source for wheel adapters, wheel spacers, used wheels, and wheel studs. have been considered the best and go for $450-600-ish for a set of 4 like you would need. Lately there have also been some aluminum ones available via ebay for much less.
I tow heavy so for me (personal choice) I decided spacers were not for me.

Personally I used the eBay spacers when I was running my 18s and never had any issues, but I also had a 5.4 2wd. I now have a 6.8 4wd and don't know if I would go the same route again to be perfectly honest.

Mine are the '04 18" Lariat rims that do not need spacers to fit correctly because they came originally on a front leaf sprung truck. The series of '04 18" OEM rims from H-D, KR and Lariat pickups are the ONLY plus sized (over 16") OEM rims that will fit our EXs properly without spacers.
