Just wondering how much clearance you have betwwen the top of the rear tire and the bottom of the outer side rail? (not loaded)
I'm fitting the bed on my COE and have about 7 inches of clearance. Is that typical? looks kinda high.....but maybe not.
Mine had almost 10. It was a grain hauler in it's previous employment. I plan on it being loaded with shingles or construction mat's. some day so I won't mind a little more clearance. I still have the 18's on there too. Ugghh. Gotta get rid of those soon.
That distance on my F4 is eight inches and my F350 is slightly less than seven inches. Both are script beds and measurements to bottom of the outside lip of the outer rail.
I hope to use this thing as a truck and haul things once in a while....so I need to leave enough clearance. Just don't know yet how much it will squat with some weight on it.
This is the F350, stock suspension scale weight at a little over 13,000 lbs. (loader driver error) The truck handled the weight easily. The overloads were just touching the pads if I remember correctly.
I would think you should be able to get an idea from the bumpstops on the suspension as to how low it can go and work from there maybe? My bed is a little higher than I would like it to be due to the combination of the hoist and a slight lift to match the new front end height. I probably have around 8-9".
