I'd like to get a set of black beadlock wheels for my 74 f250 4x4.
I see they have some for Hummers but since there are steel they can't be down to fit over the hubs as you would do a set of aluminum ones.

Where would be a good place to get a used set and what vehicles would they come off of to fit mine.

Mil take off 12 or 24 bolt HUMVEE with magnesium or the rubber run flat/beadlocks will fit a rear D60. FYI they are 8 on 6 1/2 bolt pattern and 16.5 for tires sizes. 36 or 37's come on them. There are 7" deep set or off set, the rim will hit the tie rod ends and alot more if you just try to bolt them on the front end of a D44 or D60.

To use H1 rims on a Ford without recentering them. If you want to use them in a stock form, then you need a 76" wms. Stock single wheel rears are in the 67" range. So basically if you have a 60 front you need the dual wheel hubs. If you’ve got a 44 then get the front drw spacers from a 88-up chevy or 94-up dodge. For the rear get a dual wheel rearend from a pickup. Can’t be from a cab and chassis truck. Those have a 72" wms. Then you can get a 2" spacer. Another option is if you can find a drw 14b or d70 hd from a chevy you can swap the drw hubs for the srw hubs and you’d be set. Have to figure out brakes but with a disc swap it’s not hard.

Get a set for cheap and get them recentered to run them with out a lot of axle end modifying. So some say....Google has other alternatives for brands, and there is even a few that are DOT approved. Just make sure you get some that are DOT approved, some insp places will not let them pass if they do not have the bla bla wording.

Unless you are airing the tires down below about 12 psi and wheeling hard there is no need for beadlocks. If you want the "cool" factor there are fake beadlocks available from almost any good wheel manufacturer.

 

Fyi... few true beadlock wheels are street-legal. Do your research.

 

I've been scanning the web for a set of used wheels and saw a few posted beadlocks. I really like the look, but after reading HIO Silver's tech information, I'd have to say it gave me a scare and it's not a chance I want to take.
