Unique/cool add-ons?

Hey guys,
What are some unique and/or cool add-ons/options that you have added to your bump? I am looking to make my bump comparable to most modern autos out there, while keeping the look and feel of an older P/U. Especially post anything cost-effective here. Thanks!!!

I have a 1969 F100 short bed Ranger, 240 inline six, C-4 automatic and a 9-inch rear end.

Additions to my truck:

From the Bumpside trucks, I have a pair of 31-spline axles that came from a 1971 Ford F100 9-3/8" rear end. (replaced my stock 28-spline axles in the 9-inch rear end).

From a 1970 Thunderbird, I have a 19" 7-blade clutch fan.

From the Dentside trucks, I have a 1977 disc brake/I-beam front suspension.

Saginaw power steering gear box from a 1978 Ford F150.

Tilt steering column from a 1978 Ford F150.

Intermittent wipers from a 1978 Ford F150.

Front sway bar from a 1978 Ford F250.

Rear sway bar from a 1979 Bronco.

31-spline 4-pinion Traction-Lok differential in a Ford 9-inch N-case 3rd member from a 1975 Ford F150 4x4.

From a 1982 Ford F150, I have the Ford C2 power steering pump, brackets and 3-groove water pump pulley.

From a 1989 Saleen Mustang, I have the cruise control switch bracket that mounts the CC switches from an '87-'89 Mustang to the Momo steering wheel on my tilt column.

From a 1992 Ford F150, I have an auxiliary transmission oil cooler.

I have 15" x 7.5" 5-on-5.5" wheels from a 1992-1996 Ford F150.

From a 1994 Mustang, I have a Ford 3G 130 amp alternator with a double groove pulley.

I modified my cargo light with a white/red switchback LED that doubles the cargo light as a high-mount 3rd brake light.

Future projects are to replace the carbureted 240 inline six with a fuel injected 5.0L H.O. engine from a 1990 Mustang GT and, to replace the C-4 3-spd (non-overdriven) transmission with a 1998 3.8L Mustang 4R70W 4-spd overdriven automatic transmission.

Information for most all of the things mentioned above are in this thread.

Discs and power steering from a 75 F250, modified B&W turnover ball in the bed, modified receiver hitch hidden behind the plate, oh and a 7.3IDI backed by a ZF 5speed. That's the best mod so far.
Next step is modified hood badges and rear marker lights, some custom body work including dropping the body on an 85 chassis. The larger rails and springs will really help with controlling the torque of the soon to be turbocharged 7.3.

AOD Overdrive transmission,
130 amp 3G alt
Nice 4 speaker stereo
Modified receiver hitch from 87 f-150
31x10.50 tires

That's about the only things that really make mine different than any other bump. Other than the Cleveland mill under the hood.

Are there any trucks where I can pull a cruise control module off that wouldn't be too hard to modify for our bumps?

Some bumps came with cruise. Find one with it and take the parts.

I pulled the cruise module and associated wiring out of my 85 donor, it's not too hard but the pickup may be a bit of a challenge. For buttons I am going to do a panel on top of the column where the shift indicator would be on the automatic models. The pickup is the same as the one used by F100s with a speed controlled spark advance, but I haven't seen any aftermarket speedometer cables for those so it may need to be patched together from something else.

What look are you going for? Street, desert, mud, workhorse?

I like the desert trucks but need a workhorse also! Fiberglass fenders, hood, aluminum bed! Everything upgraded underneath. Modern suspension upgraded! Lots of money and time! Rides nice! Www.autofab.com built my hood fenders! They build lot of cool parts for older vehicles and other trucks!
