My power steering pump currently runs on the 3rd groove of my 4 groove crank pulley. I want to put it in the 2nd groove. I'm counting groove 1 as the closest to the block. I haven't cleaned my engine and brackets enough to tell but wondered if there are spacers or something that I can remove to allow the power stump bracket to move closer to the block so I can run it on the 2nd groove. I'm going to use a A/C bracket made by this guy: A/C Compressor bracket for FE - New Design - The FORDification.com Forums
This A/C bracket needs to run in the 3rd groove of the crank.
In that pic it looks like the compressor is aligned up with the 4 pulley to me. If not it looks like spacing the compressor more forward would be easier.
Thanks, Jeff. It's aligned with pulley 3. I didn't think about spacing the compressor forward. I'll give that a try before I go changing my existing p.s. bracket.
