Has anyone swapped in an AOD and figured out how to bypass the VSS and other computer stuff in order for the trans to shift? I have a 302 and AOD out of a 91 Crown Vic. I have converted from EFI to carb. It runs great but won't shift into any other gear. I have done the Lokar magic adjustment using their little measurement tool, but I'm guessing it is "listening" for a computer signal to tell it to shift. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
If the year of that CV is correct then there should be no computer control, the book says that the CV did not see an AODE until 1993-94 and then they went to the 4R70W in 1995-2004.
The AOD has no computer control the VSS is only an output for EFI and cruise control. You need to check your pressure and adjust the TV cable if needed. Don't just go by the lokar tool
