thinking on selling...

As stated in the in the title im thinking on selling my 1982 150 4x4. The issue is im having a hard time putting a number on it because im in the truck a lot more than I can get from it. I also love the truck. So im asking kind folks here for a little help and advice on a fair price.

The specs are
1982 f150 4x4 standard cab long box
duel fuel tanks.
351w with offenhouser duel plane intake, and an edelbrock 4 barrel carb. It has had some other work in the lines of replaced gaskets. Runs really well

4 speed trans. New clutch. It is starting to make some noise but still drives, (I have a zf from an 90 f250 and almost all the stuff needed to put it in), ready to go. I just dont have the cross member.

It has a 4 inch suspension lift by superlift. Newer rancho 9000xl duel front shocks, rancho lift coil spring, front sway bar, trailmaster steering stabilizer, newer tie rod ends, drag bar, tie rod. Braided steel brake lines.

I just put new brakes and brake hardware on the truck a few months back. It has a new starter just a few months old

It has overload springs and a rear sway bar on the rear end.

Paint needs to be redone but there is no rust in the truck. Some surface rust but nothing major.

I will post pics in the morning. Thanks for the help

Sam

Well, pics always help.

I feel your pain here in that you always will look at your own vehicles in terms of what you have put into them. If what you are looking for is a critique of your truck, well, here goes.

Pretty much everything you mention in your first post is wear items save for the suspension lift. No value added here.

The suspension lift is of value to someone who wants it. If you want a stock truck and many do, it becomes a detraction as you now have to spend money to put things back to stock.

There is no such thing as surface rust. Anything you see is the tip of the iceberg. I may be seeing things, but it looks like the passenger side cab corner and rocker is beginning to rust? Driver's side looks good, but that blotch on the box quarter would worry me.

Hood fitment is not good and the door lock seems to be missing from the driver's side.

Truck looks pretty straight. This is good.

Lariat badging on the door post. This also is good.

Pics of the interior, box and tailgate would help.

Overall, an average truck. Pricing should be average for your area.

I'm not in your area and I can only offer an opinion. I'd say $1000 to $1500.

Good luck with the sale.

Thanks for the reply. The cab is good shape just very dirty. I would say that is a fair assessment. I know it has has some fitment issues in the front. The rust is all in the bed but it is all very light no bubbles or holes or anything.

Pics of the rest of the truck are to follow. I ran out of time when I took the last pics

I do have the door locks and keys. I had a lock break and I had to replace it.
