Those are some nice looking wheels, and a simpler solution than swapping axles. Have you got your tires picked out as well?

I'm confused. Non-HD has a payload capacity of about 1700-1800lbs, and HD has a payload of 2400lbs with different axles hubs and wheels including greater lug count. How does changing only the wheels increase your payload capacity?

It isn't just a change in wheels. It's a change in axle, brakes and springs, plus the Supercab long wheel base also has a slightly heaver frame, just like the standard SuperCrew long bed currently does. it also has HD shocks, but other MaxTow trucks may have the same HD shocks.

At least that's what I understand.

Axles are the same, only the bolt flange is different. The factory 6 lug wheels rate 2040# (the HD rates payload 2700# on the super cab)

Hard for me to grasp the idea that all Ford needs to do is change wheels, and a 7200# truck goes to a 8200# truck. That all the money spend on a HD package does is buy different wheels, and harder to find 7 lug hubs.
