I have the exact same problem with my 95 7.3l. I'm just used to it. I've even tried to tighten the filter so much I crushed and punctured it. I just keep an eye on my oil level

I've never had a leak with mine by just hand-tightening as hard as I can. I wonder if some blocks have a bit of roughness where the filter gaskets fit.

I have been having the same issue for about 6 months. I have just been learning to live with it. It doesn't even drip on the ground, but does have a streak down the side. I may try a different filter here and see if it does anything. The last three filters have done it no matter how much I tighten, or DON'T tighten. My cooler is in good shape too, so it isn't that I am pretty sure.

Both mine and my dads trucks are exactly the same. Never drips, just a little streak down the side of the filter.

I've always used FL1995 filters in my truck and never had a problem. I always use a rag to clean off the sealing surface of the oil cooler so that I can make sure everything is fine before I put the filter on. I also oil up the oil filter seal before I spin the filter on too. Never any issues. I just put mine on as tight as I can with 2 hands and then hit it maybe 1/8 turn with a wrench for good measure.

This was my third oil change with this truck and on the first two it had that streak of oil going down the side of the filter. But this time it was a heavier oil leak. As you know I bought two oil filters for this oil change and thru the first one away but after driving it a few times the Second filter has stopped leaking. I keep my baby locked up and only drive her 5000 miles a year so it will be one year before try the K&N oil filter.
