Question Got shocks done, but how do you get the steering stabilizer out??

I replaced the shocks on my 2011 F350 SC 6.7 4x4... I am able to get the nuts off of the steering stabilizer and the tire end seems to come off but the end under middle of truck wont' come loose....

is that threaded to the steering arm? no nut or hex at the top end of connection. why did rancho give me new threaded parts threaded at both ends?

It's a taper joint similar to a ball joint. I used a pickle fork on mine, but you can use a ball joint separator too. Some say tap on the stabilizer bearing at the attachment point with a hammer and it may come loose, but the pickle fork or ball joint separator will work fine.

BTW the RANCHO 9000 shocks are great... and that's at position 5 gonna reset them to #1 and see what that's like

That's how my 2011 6.2 was. I can't see that yours would be any different. Though I could be wrong.

Borrow a tie rod press tool if you don't want to change the joint because you tore the boot with the pickle fork...
