Been thinking the same thing, with regards to the bumper, Pete. Brackets and bumpers are available so I guess I can fix it easy enough. But, I'm hoping I can get it through with out.

Check out the 48 f1 on ebay. Looks like a good project truck that comes with a lot of parts to keep you busy for a few months as long as you are ok with the 226.

Actually, I am looking for one with a modern V-8 and a 12 volt system. The more modern underneath, the better. I missed the perfect truck last week. Great price, complete rebuild underneath, need paint and interior. Saw it too late.

Well, the trip to see Ted Vernon turned out to be less than exciting. Ted seems to be a decent person, but the truck was not what I expected. A lot more work than appeared in the photos and even at the agreed upon $12, 500, it was still over priced by $5000 or more.
It's still there if anyone wants a nice place to start. 289 with a C-4 already in it. Clutch pedal is still laying on the floorboard!!!

I will post up some pics later. The guy has a huge number of unique and unusual cars. Why he deals the way he does is beyond me. Just not my style at all.
I one was to walk onto the lot and see something that interest them, it may take a couple hours just to get the car ready to run and possibly test drive. Like I said, beyond me.

I really don't know what year the truck is. I'm guessing he chose the year based upon the title. The price is $12,500. If I had taken some close-ups, you'd know why.
