Ok if you own a Bump you may or may not know that there is a light that attaches to the lighter. It's job is to light the port when the lighter is out. Laugh all you want but I didn't know this and for the longest time I was trying to figure out where the bracket was for it to attach to the ashtray. Well in doing this i realized that is can simply attach to the side of the ashtray with no real modification. This inspired me to search for the light assembly at the JY. Now with just a simple splice at the lighter lights plug socket I have both a lite Lighter port and an ashtray. I may have quit smoking but I use the ashtray for collecting other things.
My ashtray is full of change, the "just in case" fund. Haven't emptied it since 1988!
With all the colorful LED's available today I'm surprised that someone hasn't lit up lots of things inside their bump. I know the later model truck guys do the cup holders and map pockets. Kinda cool.
In my Mack, I put a pair of tiny red marker lamps up under the dash. It puts a nice soft red glow on the floor making it easier to see to get in/out and see inside the cab at night without having to blind yourself with the dome light. I did the same in the bunk, just a pair of tiny LED lamps up in the front corner shining across the roof. Makes it nice at night.
The red and black wires are the power plug for my cb. I put my LTD29 in Pearl. Thought I might have to switch to my uniden with sidebands. The mic has the clip on hook so that I dont need to mount the hook just yet
